1

Enter Hermit Cove
On the northwest corner of Hermit Cove, find the green lake house, and use it as a marker for navigating through the cove. To enter the channel, head directly towards the green lake house and traverse near it because the water is deeper there. We want to stay left and near the green lake house when entering the channel.
2

45 degree turn to the right
Continue with a 45 degree turn to the right, pointing the bow towards the American flag at the end of Eagles Landing’s dock.
3

Watch for rocks on starboard side
Immediately, we will see a couple of large rocks on our starboard side.
4

Watch for rocks on port side and starboard side
Do not go too far left of middle in the channel as there are large submerged rocks on our port side. There are also large rocks on the starboard side, but they’re at a deeper depth and aren’t too much of a concern until the lake level lowers during the late Summer and Fall seasons. Stay towards the left of middle in the channel until we arrive at the dock.
5

Tie up to the dock
Trim up to park in later Summer or Fall months depending on the lake level. Tie up to the cleats at the end of the dock, where the water is deeper.
6

Leave the boat dock
When leaving the boat dock, stay to the right side of the cove’s channel where it’s deeper, and head straight towards the green lake house as a crow flies.
7

Watch for rocks on port side and starboard side
As you depart towards the middle of the channel, there are big rocks on our starboard side we want to avoid. Also, there are rocks on the port side that aren’t too much of a concern until the late Summer and Fall seasons – they’re at a deeper depth, but we may see them protruding through the water depending on the lake level.
8

Watch for rocks on port side
As we near the green lake house, we will see a couple of large rocks on our port side.
9

45 degree turn to the left
Continue with a 45 degree turn to the left, pointing the bow towards deeper water.
